As an approximate guide, our 5-10mm coloured glass / Clear Mirror Glass is normally applied (seeded) at a rate of between 1,2 or 3kg’s per square metre for exposed aggregate / polished concrete applications, depending on whether you are after a light, medium or heavy coverage.
Between 1-2kg’s seeded per m2 is about the norm for polished concrete floors and the like. If you are after a more sparse coverage then simply apply at a lighter rate.
Smaller sized applications like polished concrete bench tops / steps / pavers etc are typically seeded at a heavier seed rate depending on the desired outcome.
The amount of glass that you use, like with any other aggregate, is simply a matter of personal choice.
When deciding on the glass coverage you want to achieve, consider the amount of other aggregate in your chosen concrete mix and which elements you want to highlight.
