Exposed Aggregate Driveways & More
What is exposed aggregate in concrete?
Exposed aggregate is the washing back of concrete to uncover or ‘expose’ materials that are in the concrete mix. The materials are referred to as aggregate which can consist of many things. Aggregate example include stones, pebbles, glass, glow in the dark stones and other decorative material. The choosing of different aggregates allows you to customise your concrete and achieve a unique look to suit your preferences.
Is exposed aggregate durable?
Yes! It is very durable and can last for approximately 30 years.
Is exposed aggregate safe?
As exposed aggregate offers a textured surface it is a lot safer to walk on in terms of grip. It is a great choice for wet or otherwise slippery areas. Smooth surface such as tiles and plain concrete can be slippery provide little grip.
It is also comfortable underfoot and it is suitable for areas around pools where you will be walking barefoot.
Exposed Aggregate Maintenance
